Become a Member

Membership is open to all interested persons

Becoming a member allows you to receive free continuing education credits when you attend our Scientific Meetings and other educational activities sponsored by the PINE Psychoanalytic Center. Members also receive a subscription to the Psychoanalytic Electronic Publishing (“PEP”) archive at a greatly reduced group rate. Finally, members receive the PINE Psychoanalytic Center Newsletter (published several times a year) and notices of Scientific Meetings and other center activities, and may join Center sponsored study groups or supervision groups usually at no additional cost.

The cost of membership varies by membership category:

Full Member

Full membership in the PINE Psychoanalytic Center, with full voting rights, is available to any analyst graduate of an institute of the APsaA/ IPA (or other institute with equivalent training). Annual dues will be $1050 per year, plus $60 for subscription to PEP-web, the online psychoanalytic library (required unless you already have this through another group). Your name will appear on our list of therapists under "Find a Therapist." In addition, you will have the option of creating an individual page on our website, which can include your picture, identifying practice information, specialties or special interests, and selected publications. Continuing education credits will be provided at PINE educational activities at no additional cost. In addition, you will be invited to all PINE Psychoanalytic Center clinical, community and social offerings. PINE candidates are automatically full voting members of the PINE Psychoanalytic Center.

Reciprocal Member

Analysts who are full members of another APsaA/IPA institute (or other institute with equivalent training) may become Reciprocal Members of the PINE Psychoanalytic Center. Annual dues will be $150 plus $60 for subscription to PEP-web, an online psychoanalytic library (required unless you already have this through another group). You may elect to have your name appear on our list of therapists under "Find a Therapist." Continuing Education Credits at PINE educational activities will be included in your membership fee. You will be invited to attend all PINE Psychoanalytic Center social events and may participate in Center study groups and other Center educational activities.

Candidate Affiliate Member

Candidates at any other institutes of the APsaA/IPA (or any institute offering comparable training) may become a Candidate Affiliate Member of the PINE Psychoanalytic Center. Annual dues will be $75 plus $30 for subscription to PEP-web, an online psychoanalytic library (required unless you already have this through another group). Your name will appear on our list of therapists under "Find a Therapist." Continuing education credits will be provided at PINE educational activities at no additional cost. You will be invited to attend all PINE Psychoanalytic Center social events and may participate in study groups and other Center educational activities.

Clinician Affiliate Member

Any licensed independent clinical practitioner may become a Clinician Affiliate Member of the PINE Psychoanalytic Center. Academics who are not licensed independent clinicians may become Scholar Affiliate members. The dues will be $150 plus $60 for subscription to PEP-web, an online psychoanalytic library (required unless you already have this through another group). Continuing education credits will be provided to clinicians at PINE educational activities at no additional cost. You will also be invited to all PINE Psychoanalytic Center social events and may attend PINE Psychoanalytic Center clinical and educational activities at the discretion of the activity organizer(s).

Scholar Affiliate Member

Academics who are not licensed independent clinicians may become Scholar Affiliate members. The dues will be $150 plus $60 for subscription to PEP-web, an online psychoanalytic library (required unless you already have this through another group). Continuing education credits will be provided to clinicians at PINE educational activities at no additional cost. You will also be invited to all PINE Psychoanalytic Center social events and may attend PINE Psychoanalytic Center clinical and educational activities at the discretion of the activity organizer(s).

Student Member

Any student in a program of training in medicine, psychology, psychiatry, social work, mental health counseling, or other mental health profession may join the PINE Psychoanalytic Center. Dues will be $50 including subscription to the PEP-web, an online psychoanalytic library (required unless you already have this through another group). You will be invited to attend all PINE Psychoanalytic Center social events and may participate in study groups and other Center activities at the discretion of the activity organizer(s).
