The Paul G. Ecker Center for Interdisciplinary Study

The Paul G. Ecker Center for Interdisciplinary Study was created in 2002 in honor of Dr. Paul G. Ecker, an esteemed psychoanalyst and teacher. Operating within the Psychoanalytic Foundation of New England, it fosters the advancement of psychoanalytic studies through the creation and support of venues for interdisciplinary exploration of psychoanalysis.

The committee of the Center is composed of analysts from the PINE Psychoanalytic Center and academics from several local universities. Meeting as a group to discuss theoretical and clinical ideas, we craft and implement programs to enhance dialogue with a wider community of interested professionals, academics, artists, and laypeople. Program topics might relate to any aspect of the history, evolution, and ongoing development of psychoanalytic theory and practice. We invitee your proposals for consideration.

The Ecker Center aims to be a catalyst for a broader dialogue between psychoanalysis and the arts and sciences. To this end we welcome ideas and opportunities to help extend this mission and mandate.
