Welcome to The PINE Psychoanalytic Society of New England (PPSNE)

"Nothing can be changed if it is not faced." ~James Baldwin

These are hard times. We open our eyes, minds, and hearts to the atrocities and ubiquitous realities of racism. The path to change must confront attitudes and inequities deeply embedded in our nation.

Psychoanalysis is a therapeutic approach based upon listening to the experience of others. Black Lives Matter has brought into clear focus the painful experience of people of color in our culture. We pledge to explore internal and external conflicts involved in the oppression of others and to challenge the status quo in our personal and professional lives.

PINE supports the movement led by Black Lives Matter in its effort to raise awareness of systemic racism and bring about societal change.

Upcoming Educational Programs

We are now accepting applications for the 2025-2026 PINE Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Fellowship Program.
