Become a PINE Member

Membership is open to the mental health community, scholars, and students interested in psychoanalysis

PINE Analysis Educational MeetingBecoming a member gives you the opportunity to acquire continuing education credits and reduced fees (conferences are frequently free for members) when you attend our Scientific Meetings.  Members also receive a subscription to the Psychoanalytic Electronic Publishing (“PEP”) archive at a greatly reduced group rate.  Members may join Society-sponsored study groups  and clinical case discussions.  Members offer short seminars in their special area of interest or expertise.  Members are invited to teach, to supervise, and to mentor fellows.  The cost of membership varies by membership category:

PINE Analysis MemberActive Members--Graduates of APsaA/IPA Institutes or training and qualifying experiences comparable to APsA or IPA institutes when reviewed by the Membership Committee and approved by PPSNE Board of Directors
Annual Fee:  $350
Privileges include:  voting to elect representatives to the Board of Directors of the American Psychoanalytic Association if you are an APsA member and on matters pertaining to organizational development at PPSNE, access to PEP-web (+$70, optional), free CE/CME credits*, referral listing with contact information and area of expertise on the PPSNE website, participation in PINE administration and/or educational activities including teaching, supervising, and mentoring by invitation of the individual programs' directors.
Fully Retired Members
Annual Fee: $300
Privileges include: Same as Active Members

Reciprocal Members--Full Members of other APsA/IPA Institutes
Annual Fee:  $250
Privileges include:  access to PEP-web (+$70, optional), free CE/CME credits*, referral listing on the PPSNE website, participation in PPSNE administration and/or educational activities by invitation of the individual programs' directors

Adjunct Members--Full Members of non-APsA/IPA Institutes
Annual Fee:  $250
Privileges include:  access to PEP-web (+$70, optional), free CE/CME credits*, referral listing on the PPSNE website, participation in PPSNE administration and/or educational activities by invitation of the individual programs' directors

PINE Analysis MemberClinician Associate Members--Licensed independent clinicians
Annual fee:  $250
Privileges include:  access to PEP-web (+$70, optional), free CE/CME credits*, right to vote on matters pertaining to organization development at PPSNE, referral listing on the PPSNE website, participation in PPSNE administration and/or educational activities by invitation of the individual programs' directors

Scholar Associate Members--Academics who are not licensed independent clinicians
Annual fee:  $100
Privileges include:  access to PEP-web (+$70, optional), participation in PPSNE educational activities and committees by invitation of committees' and/or programs' directors

Candidate Associate Members--Candidates at  other psychoanalytic institutes
Annual fee:  $100
Privileges include:  access to PEP-web (+$40, optional), free CE/CME credits*, participation in PPSNE educational activities and committees by invitation of committees' and/or programs' directors

Student Members--Trainees in medicine, psychiatry, psychology, social work, mental health counseling, etc.
Annual fee:  $75 (includes PEP-web)|
Privileges include:  Participation in PPSNE educational activities

Corresponding Members--
Annual fee: $200
Privileges include: access to PEP-web (+$70, optional) )
