Treatment Philosophy:
I have trained in working with children, adolescents, families and adults and have a strong developmental point of view. In addition, I have studied medical and behavioral treatments, alternative treatments, and all aspects of verbal and play therapy. My treatment philosophy is based on the belief that there are deep unconscious forces that shape our behaviors. While I try to make treatment plans that address immediate and urgent problems, I am careful not to ignore the deeper seated roots and I am prepared to undertake therapies of depth and duration.

Specialties:
Academic performance issues, Musical performance and creative issues, creative inhibition, interpersonal difficulties, family conflict, developmental disorders, ADHD, asperger syndrome, mood disorders, complex medical/psychiatric problems.

Brief Biography:
As a Psychiatrist and Psychoanalyst I have trained in working with children, adolescents, families and adults. In addition, I have studied medical and behavioral treatments, alternative treatments, and all aspects of verbal and play therapy. I have been engaged in teaching dynamic psychotherapy at Harvard and Tufts Medical Schools, the Boston Psychoalalytic Institute and the PINE Psychoanalytic Center for the past 35 plus years.
