Treatment Philosophy:
Over the past 30 plus years as a psychotherapist, I've heard many times from patients: "I want to be happy, to feel peaceful inside myself, but I can't seem to get there." "I feel badly always telling my friends and family, because I feel like a broken record. I worry they feel helpless and fed up listening to me." There are many reasons people feel stuck in their anxiety, depression, or relationship problems, and feel immobilized by them. It's been my experience that the more you understand about what's causing these problems, the less stuck and the more at peace you tend to feel, and the better things tend to go in your life. Psychotherapy is a unique forum where you can begin to address your worries, conflicts and hopes, where you can begin to understand what's holding you back. Psychotherapy can help you move forward towards lasting results and a happier, more fully lived life. My office is just outside Harvard Square, on the Red LIne, easily accessible from Harvard, MIT, Lesley College, and downtown.
